Sujana, CM Ramesh Hold Discussions With The Centre
Today looks like an important day in the history of Andhra Pradesh. While the state awaits to hear the news with bated breath on the ‘package’ being offered by the Centre, Sujana and CM Ramesh continue to fight the battle onsite.
The discussions are ongoing at Delhi with the central government and it is likely that an announcement will com at 2 30 PM in the afternoon. Sources also speculate the delay and press meet to move to evening as the discussions seem to be going on in an elaborate manner.
CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu has taken a firm stance on granting of Special Status. He has decided to make the trip to Delhi based on what will be announced by the centre. It is also said that the CM has not responded on repeated requests from Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley to fly to Delhi.
The state government is firm on negotiating the conditions, and is said to have come up with nine concrete demands. These include hot issues such as Visakha Railway Zone and complying with the State Bifurcation Act. Sujana and Ramesh continue to have discussions and more details are yet to be out on this front.
